Welcome
We're located in Springfield, the capital of Illinois and the heart of the Land of Lincoln.
I'm a picture framer. I've been framing pictures for about forty years full-time for about the last five years. My framing shop is in a local craft mall. In addition to my picture framing, I have two passions: Illinois' favorite son Abe Lincoln; and America's favorite painter Norman Rockwell.
My shop is full of Lincoln speeches and quotations, which I print on parchment paper, mount, mat and shrink wrap or frame and Lincoln memorabilia: busts, statues, books, bookends, and other neat items for sale.
I also sell Rockwell Saturday Evening Post cover prints mounted, matted and shrink wrapped in three sizes: miniature, actual size, and poster size. I sell a lot of framed Rockwell prints. I've become something of a collector of original Saturday Evening Post covers and magazines. I'd rather not admit to the number of these magazines and covers in my inventory! I don't consider myself an expert, but rather a student of Rockwell.
In a previous life I was a commercial banker for about thirty years. Banking changed and I quit when it stopped being fun. Now I'm one of a few picture framers around with an MBA.
My wife Sonja, who gives me lots of advice and generally humors me with my avocation, has a masters degree in Nursing Psychology and is a Hospice Nurse. We have five children and thirteen grandchildren.
